Yesterday I spent a few hours bass fishing on a local lake. I pitched my Meatwhistle near a dock and let it sink to the bottom. I saw my line tighten and I set the hook with a grunt like Bill Dance. The result was this beauty:
I live in Seattle Washington and have been fly fishing and tying flies for about 20 years. I am a high school teacher, and although I love teaching, I love fly fishing even more. I have fly fished all over the western United States and Canada. I fish for trout, salmon, steelhead, bass, carp, northern pike, musky, and other species I can't remember. Although I rarely troll, one of my fondest fishing memories involves trolling for perch with son's batman fishing rod! Since he was only 3-years-old, I hooked the fish and he reeled them in. Finally, I am a husband and a father. My wife and I have a 5-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl.
